Making Tax Digital
Sole traders and/or property landlords with an annual income exceeding £50,000 will be required to maintain digital records of their transactions and submit quarterly tax returns to HMRC.
This new requirement is part of HMRC’s initiative to streamline tax reporting and ensure greater accuracy.
In addition to the quarterly submissions, two new annual returns will also need to be completed, which will provide a more comprehensive overview of income, expenses, and tax liabilities for the year.
